I’m very excited to join forces with my yogini friend Marianne, the creator of the 30days of yoga, to bring you an incredible workshop in the Bay Area! What could be better than a weekend with Yoga + Photography together? I know for a fact that Yoga is crucial to my photographer body that carries heavy equipment, takes on awkward poses to shoot, and sits way too much in front of the computer to retouch images. I also know that sometimes when I get discouraged or stuck in my creative process, only a good yoga class can bring me back to balance and spike my creativity once again. If you can relate, Creative Flow is for you!
This workshop will focus on creating a harmonious flow in our bodies, so we can create a radiant flow in our work (as photographers or creatives in any medium – writers, painters, crafters encouraged to attend as well). This will be a 2 day journey exploring the elements (earth, fire, water and air) as a framework to explore creativity and the connection between our body, mind and spirit. We will use yoga to ground, unlock and move our creative energy, and photography will be our primary expressive and creative medium to bring that flow into our creative work. We’ll do some yoga, go on a photo walk, explore photography as a meditation tool to nurture our curiosity and deepen our ability to pay attention, play with individual and group ‘photo prompts’ to bring fun into our work, and finish off with a delicious relaxation pratice. You can read the full description of our workshop at the lovely Teahouse Studio website.
