Art Print Giveaway

Hello, Gypsy Girls! My name is Jessica Swift, and Alessandra invited me to share my artwork with you. Thanks, Alessandra! I’m an artist and surface pattern designer living in Atlanta, GA, though I’m originally from Boulder, Colorado, one of the loveliest places on Earth.

I’m offering a giveaway here today, for one of the prints pictured here. To enter, please leave a comment letting me know which print you would choose and why. I’ll pick our favorite comment to be the winner of whichever print they chose!

And if you’re interested in seeing more of my work, you can also find me in these places: my website, my blog, my etsy shop, twitter, and facebook. Oh, and on Spring! Spring is my video site with 3 other lovely ladies– we talk about all sorts of hot topics. For example, in September we’re talking about authenticity. In August we talked about Inspiration. Definitely check it out and join in our conversation!

Comments will close at 12am USA PST on Sept 25th and we’ll email the giveaway winner shortly thereafter.

  • I am moved by ‘listen’ as it looks as though she is oblivious to everything except what her heart is telling her.

  • This is so generous! Ritual is the one that I cannot stop looking at, although all your art is so amazing. But the Ritual girl looks a bit like my daughter, dressed-up to please herself, fearless and walking tall. And I love that it’s called Ritual, because ritual to me is that antiquated little thing that used to be imposed on me, and I used to reject, and only lately started to really understand, value, transform and embrace.

  • I am moved by ‘let your worries fall away.’ Letting one’s worries fall away at the start of each day and night is at the heart of humanity, and speaks to my innermost desire to be present, to be hopeful, and to be impeccable with my words and thoughts. This has become a ritual for me, at the table with a cup of tea or coffee, my hands translating the warmth from the cup into warmth in my heart – being gentle with myself. Thank you for sharing your art, it has inspired me to take another look at my daily rituals.

  • I love all three but my favorite is the last one. I love that she’s wearing a hat with ears and is listening to her heart. And the patterns are supercute and make me happy! Your art is wonderful and is the shot of inspiration I needed this morning. Thanks for putting it out there!

  • I love them ALL. I have to say though that I would choose the first one and hang it in my living room as a reminder to my over worked and over stressed love of a husband who sometimes needs reminding not to sweat the small stuff and to just let his worries fall to the ground. :)

  • Let your worries fall away…
wow. not only was this the first thing I saw when I opened up the Gypsy Girls blog, but just this vibrant piece was me. Just this morning I was enjoying the cool Georgia air this morning on the back porch – quietly reflecting on affirming that I am enough.

I kept envisioning all the negativity, stessors and just general ick seeping into the ground beneath me. this is me.

And I did check out some of your other pieces – I can’t wait to get Georgia Trees and Tire Swing. They will hang directly over our heads each night and morning.
    gorgeous pieces.

  • I’d love to win the “let you worries….” print because it would be a fabulous addition to my studio. Reminding me to take a step back and relax when things get a little crazy/hectic.

Thanks for the awesome giveaway! Love your work!

  • They are all beautiful, but “Let your worries” got to me the most. I would pick that one, because it’s the perfect reminder that sometimes we need to just let go of the things that in a few days time won’t matter and get on with living our lives to the fullest.

  • The one of the middle is gorgeous– makes me want to wear something fabulous.

  • They are all beautiful, but the one that really speaks to me is “listen”. It is somnehow a perfect image of me, me inside, me i want to be outside to plus i know from my friends i am a good listener and also looove listening music all the time. Music inspires me and connects me with God. And sometimes all i need to do is listen, to hear the voice of God whispering to me.

Thank you for an amazing giveaway. Your work is awesome!

  • let your worries fall away…because I need to constantly remind myself to do that :) gorgeous.

  • Although they are all AWESOME and inspiring, Let your worries fall away is my favorite. How easy it is to let the hassles of every day life overwhelm you. Often I find I can let it ruin an entire day or week! This print reminds me how silly that is and how we are in control of how we deal with our problems. It would be great to have this little reminder to look at everyday!

  • I am so drawn to ‘Ritual’. I love the way she looks strong and in command of herself, the feather in her hair like an Indian princess, the use of traditional symbols on her skirt acknowledging the past, but moving forward and the use of the peacock feathers which I am so called to at the moment. It is such a symbol of knowing yourself and really who wouldn’t want the ritual of wearing a pink feather in your hair everyday – that is something to aspire to!!

  • Let your worries fall away. The best thing about meditation and yoga is that this very thing can happen. The universe/God/serendipity or whatever must be speaking to me. I have had an extra busy and emotional week which even, ironically, included my introducing a group of people to meditation. I don’t meditate or practice yoga on a regular basis but this artwork could be a reminder to me to strive to do so.

  • your artistry is exquisite. thank you for this generous offering. her eyes in ritual spoke to my soul. i had a visceral response to the visual image. beautiful connection. gratitude to you.

  • I am feeling the “let your worries” print today. Probably because I need the sentiment today.

  • Oh this 1st print is SO perfect for me right now!!! I’m in the midst of planning an international wedding and my head feels like it’s going to explode daily. I need a reminder to breath and let my worries go. I should be focusing on the fact that I’m getting married to an incredible guy, NOT the stresses of the wedding planning. Your work is perfection!

  • I would pick “Let your worries fall away…” because right now my worries are buried in the pit of my stomach. A beautiful reminder to let them fall away into the ground and sky is just what the doctor ordered :-)

Absolutely love your work and can’t wait for the launch of The Declaration of You!

  • The middle one…I think it’s ritual….I think it is just superb and I always hope to be as brave as her, to stand tall and do what I know in my heart rather than what others expect….but do it it with grace & fearlessness! (I hope this makes sense!)

  • Don’t worry about anything, but pray about everything. We need beautiful reminders, like your print. Thank you.

  • I love them all, but I would most especially love to have “Let your worries fall away” to share with my yoga students.

    What a beautiful giveaway!

  • Lovely work…I really enjoy all three. Let your worries fall away is a wonderful piece to remind us….I would put it in my hall way and while waiting for my 3 year old to go to school….aahh yes. Let it all fall away. Ritual is what I want to be when I walk out of the house each day. Confident, and in my zone…she rocks!

  • I would choose “ritual” because everytime I look at her I find another escape to a ritual symbol. She wears one ritual thing (i.e. the crinoline/birdcage skirt) and all the other garments and accessoires clash with it, or she’s wearing the Indian feather and the other items don’t fit. She looks defiant to me, fighting against the ritual and strong because of it. FREE !

  • i would choose “let your worries…” (#1)

i have a hangover this morning. not a beer hangover, but an emotional hangover. a beer hangover would be better – i could take two advil and call it a day. an emotional hangover? i’m guessing my only remedy would be letting my worries fall away, into the ground and into the sky :)
