I recently came across this wonderful project, blog and book called Girl Drive ~ criss-crossing the country, redefining feminism ~ and I am utterly captivated and curious about it.
On October 15, 2007, Nona Willis Aronowitz and Emma Bee Bernstein set off on a cross-country road trip of several months, where they visited dozens of cities across the United States and interviewed hundreds of women with questions such as: “What do young women care about? What are their hopes, worries and ambitions? Have they heard of feminism? How do they relate to it?”
Girldrive strikes a conversation allowing young women to be seen and heard, and it evaluates how they perceive and cope with freedom, equality, joy, ambition, sex and love.
What I also love about it, is that this road trip has inspired others to do the same in the South and the UK (which is totally the gypsy girl spirit i like to promote), creating an open road for many more young women to have their voices heard and change the world.
Watch the video below, get the book and be inspired by these awesome gypsy girls!

I was thrilled to find out about the Hands Up Foundation and their volunteering travel options via my new favorite eco-friendly fashion muse.
Travel for me always means full immersion in a different culture. But there is actually something even better than just getting to know the locals… You can volunteer and make a difference in their lives too! If volunteering programs like ‘peace corps’ seem a bit rough for you, it is time to check out Hands up Holidays!
When you travel with Hands up Holidays, you can enjoy a luxury vacation that goes deeper than just staying at nice hotels and eating at fabulous restaurants! Enjoy a richer and more meaningful adventure by helping local communities and making a difference. Looks like you can find the perfect program for you, whether you are traveling on honeymoon, career break or solo.
Let’s all go on an adventure that counts! Shall we, gypsies?!
Silly Girls

When the girls from Gypsy Feet told me about their fabulous project “Silly Girls United”, I knew I had to share it with you.
I could not agree more with them! Silliness can be a great way to connect and reveal true beauty. I think a silly photo shoot is such a great way to have our picture taken. Most of us are so terrified of exposing our imperfections, but when we are being silly it doesn’t matter. As soon as we forget the part of us that is afraid… Guess what? Our light shines!
Check out their website and join in the silliness by becoming a friend on facebook & organizing a photo shoot with all your silly friends!
