So you know… The other day my husband and I were talking about our dreams and one of the things that we both would LOVE to create someday is a space that is devoted to chilling and connecting. In his dream it is a place with craft beers and music, and in mine, great coffee and art! Together we can have a place that is coffee/art house by day and beer/music at night. We were even saying it would be called “Cafe Bier”! :)
Our dream place would actually most likely be somewhere by a nice beach in Brazil, totally tropical looking and with lots of open space and nature weaving through rooms. I saw a place in Mexico on our last trip that really inspired the look for our little dream cafe.
BUT, having said that…
When I saw these images of Moomah in NYC (via Brunch), I completely fell in love with its urban modern charm. Isn’t it dreamy? The idea is the same in a way, to create a place to connect, make friends, make art, and in their case, bring your kids too!
As a momma to be, a place where you can bring your kids sounds fabulous to me! I know of a spot in Oakland that is like that too. But Moomah seems to have an everyday calendar to keep you and your kiddos entertained for life! And it so pretty!
Anyhow… I know I know… So many things going on already and I cannot stop thinking of more! Between growing a belly, a business, a family, two websites, wanting to travel the world, etc etc… Yes, I do want a cool artsy cafe where you would all come to teach your wonderful workshops and share a cup of tea or a latte with me :) I guess that is what it means to be living big and loving life, right?

OH what timing :P Just today I’m thinking about how we have so many dreams, and keep pushing them all off till after our wedding (just over two months!)
and after a friend visited last night who is going on a BIG adventure, it makes us want to run away too (one of our dreams :)
I told my guy that we need to brainstorm all our dreams, and choose which one(s) to start acting on so we can make actual progress :P
Our version of this is a gamer cafe. Video games, board games, geeky games, and a creative & yummy cafe combined!
Oh, I love it…I’ve dreamed of this very place too…totally dig the vibe of hanging in a dreamy place with art, yummy treats, coffee, tea and kiddos running around and of course tim would love beer and music at night.

!!! this has always been my BIGGEST dream! i worked at a place like this for 4 years… a cafe with tons of regulars by day and art adorning the walls ~ turn funky bar with local & touring live music by night. always an interesting conversation. always a place to entertain dreams. i love it. i support it. in fact, i dream it, too! :)
this is my dream too! well, sort of. lately i’ve been dreaming of starting a little vegan cafe with room for books & music & art on the walls.

Oh me too, dreamy dream dream. Mine is a book cafe with all sorts of reference books and mags to browse with lots of new age funky stuff to buy and ponder, Organic yummies, great coffee and guest musicians. I’ve never made a decnt coffee in my life though!
umm, i’ll be an employee if y’all ever open that dream place!…it sounds perfect!
