I just came across this fabulous documentary Music by Prudence, directed by Roger Ross Williams, which received this year’s Oscar for short-subject documentary.
The movie tells the remarkable journey of Prudence, a native of Zimbabwe, who had a heartbreaking childhood due to her disability, but who eventually won a scholarship and found her way into music, love, respect and possibility.
Now she is probably the most famous women in Zimbabwe with an Oscar in hand, and she will be touring the US with her band Liyana later this year!
She is such an inspiration! She gives me so much hope, that we can all go anywhere and be anything!

It is documentaries like these that that just inspire deep into the soul!
