Lotus, GG Park, San Francisco, 2006
Today I offer you a beautiful lotus.
"The lotus flower is considered sacred among many cultures. With its roots in the mud, the lotus rises through the murky waters to blossom clean and bright. It symbolizes purity, resurrection and the enlightened being who emerges beautifully despite the chaos and illusions of the world. It is a reminder of the miracle of beauty, light and life, and communicates an understanding of our place in the world."
It's perfect for how I feel today after posting something so sad, personal and revealing... I offer here my best shot at bringing more magic, truth and inspiration into the world!

This is so beautiful- how I love the lotus flower... coming up from all the muck to blossom into something that brings so much peace.
Thank you for sharing so much with us on your blog and for being such a good friend...

What a great way to follow all these sad goodbyes we have been sharing. The emergence, the resurrection, the growth.
Thank you lovely Alex. xx

I love this post!! The lotus flower is the perfect metaphor for me right now as well. Stuck in muck out of which I know blessings are coming.
Beauitul, thank you!
I have been meaning to respond to your comment about being up on/near Whidbey Island this summer. If you end up this way let me know if you'd like to meet for a coffee, or glass of wine.
I have so enjoyed reading your blog, it is always a pleasure and your comments on mine have been so thoughtful.
